Effective Date: 18 September 2026 | Last Updated: 18 September 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to all software applications and services published by Ink Software (“we”, “us”, “our”), including our mobile, desktop, and web applications (collectively, the “Apps”). It explains what information passes through our systems, why, and what happens to it.
The short version: we do not collect, store, or sell your data. Your content lives on your device and in any third-party services you choose to connect. In a small number of cases — delivering notifications or helping you share something — data may pass through our infrastructure momentarily, but it is never saved.
1. What We Do Not Collect
Our Apps do not collect, store, or process personal information or usage data for our own purposes. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Personal identifiers: name, email address, phone number, device ID, or IP address
• Activity data: what you open, how long you use the App, or what features you interact with
• Usage analytics: app opens, crash logs, or performance metrics
• Device information: hardware model, operating system version, or settings
• Location data: GPS, approximate location, or region
• Financial information: payment details or purchase history (handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play)
2. No Third-Party Tracking
Our Apps do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising networks, tracking SDKs, or crash reporting services. No third party receives information about your use of our Apps from us.
3. When Data Passes Through Our Infrastructure
There are two limited situations where data may transit our servers. In both cases the data is processed in transit only and is never written to storage, logged, or retained.
3.1 Notifications
Some Apps offer notifications (for example, an alert that a sync has completed or that something has been shared with you). To deliver these, the necessary information may be relayed through our infrastructure to the platform notification service (Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging). We do not keep a record of notifications sent or their contents.
3.2 Sharing
Some Apps let you share content with other people. Where a direct device-to-device or service-to-service transfer is not possible, the shared content may be relayed through our infrastructure to reach the recipient. This is always done using a referral Conde, and the code is relayed to the user using client side javascript – nothing leaves the browser, and the only information we receive is the url, which we do not log.
If either of these features is not available in a particular App, this section simply does not apply to it. We will never use notification or sharing infrastructure to profile users or collect data.
4. Where Your Content Lives
4.1 On Your Device
By default, content you create or add to our Apps — such as files, notes, settings, and preferences — is stored on your device. This data is not accessible to us.
4.2 Third-Party Services You Connect
Many of our Apps can sync with, or store content in, third-party services such as cloud storage providers, self-hosted servers, or other platforms. Which service you use, if any, is entirely your choice.
When you connect a third-party service:
• You authorise it: We access the service only after you explicitly grant permission through that service’s official sign-in flow, or by entering your own server details.
• We access only what is needed: Our Apps read and write to the connected service solely to provide the functionality you have requested.
• We do not store your credentials on our servers: Sign-in with major providers is handled by those providers directly. Any credentials you enter for self-hosted or manually configured services are stored on your device only.
• Their privacy policy applies: Data held in a third-party service is governed by that service’s privacy policy and terms, not ours. We encourage you to review them before connecting.
We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of any third-party service you choose to connect.
5. App Store Purchases
Where our Apps offer purchases or subscriptions, all transactions are processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play), or the relevant platform store. We do not have access to your payment information or billing details. Please refer to the applicable store’s privacy policy for how they handle your data.
6. Children’s Privacy
We do not collect data from any user, including children under 13. Parents and guardians should be aware that connecting a third-party service on a child’s behalf is subject to the age requirements and terms of that service.
7. Internet Access
Our Apps use an internet connection only for the following purposes:
• Connected services: To sync with or access third-party services you have chosen to connect.
• Authentication: To complete sign-in flows with those services.
• Notifications and sharing: As described in Section 3, where the App offers these features.
We do not use any network connection to report information about you or your activity to us.
8. Data Retention
We retain nothing. Any data that transits our infrastructure under Section 3 exists only for the duration of the transfer. We maintain no user database, no content store, and no activity logs.
9. Your Rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete, or export on your behalf. You retain full ownership and control of your content on your device and in any service you connect. For data held by a third-party service, please use that service’s own account and data management tools.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how our Apps handle data, we will update this Privacy Policy and revise the ‘Last Updated’ date above. Material changes will be communicated through App Store update notes or within the App itself. We will never introduce data collection practices without clearly disclosing them here first.
